HD Compressed Recording from
Doremi Labs' newest HD Disk Recorder

Las Vegas, NV - NAB2004 - April 19, 2004 - Doremi Labs will be displaying its new V1-HD disk recorder at Infocomm that can record HD-SDI video compressed. Other advanced features of the V1-HD include simultaneous record and play capability, and dual-link HD-SDI recording.

The V1-HD's numerous advanced features lend their use to many applications. In a film or video mastering environment the V1-HD becomes a multi-format recorder of compressed SD and HD video. Its simultaneous record and play function provides time savings by allowing playback, for color grading work for example, while recording a video feed.

The V1-HD has many applications for broadcasters. Its random access and simple video clip and play list programming provides for efficient on-air operation. The V1-HD can also be used for broadcast time delay where its video compression capability lowers the cost of HD delay considerably due to the reduction in storage requirements.

The V1-HD also excels as a slow motion sports server. One channel can be set to record the live event, while the other is free to playback any part of the recorded video in slow motion. Compressed HD video recording allows the entire sports event to be recorded on just one or two internal drives.

The V1-HD is available with internal storage or external RAID5 storage. It features HD and SD serial digital video in/out with embedded audio, and is available with up to 8 channels of AES/EBU or 6 channels of analog audio. It can record 720p, 1080i, 1080p (24, 25, 30fps and sf), 525 and 625 video formats. The V1-HD can function as a Sony 9pin device via its RS-422 port, and is also Odetics and VDCP (Louth) compatible.
