HD Compressed Recording
From Doremi Labs' newest HD Disk Recorder

Atlanta, GA - Infocomm 2004 - June 10th, 2004 - Doremi Labs will be displaying its new V1-HD disk recorder at Infocomm that can record HD-SDI video compressed. Other advanced features of the V1-HD include simultaneous record and play capability, and dual-link HD-SDI recording.

The V1-HD is ideal as a playback device for large screen presentations, digital cinema and other large high-resolution display applications. The dual-link HD-SDI inputs can also be used for 4:2:2:4 recording of video and key, and are also useful for ultra wide screen projection and 3D video.

HDTV's high resolution necessitates large amounts of storage. The V1-HD's video compression helps to preserve the video image quality while significantly reducing storage requirements. The V1-HD is housed in a compact 3U chassis with up to four internal hard drives. The V1-HD easily exceeds the storage capacity of HD tape recorders.

The V1-HD's digital disk technology provides an ideal video source for the new digital cinema projectors and displays. Compared to tape based machines digital disk technology offers higher reliability and continues playback of full-length features as well as instant locate and instant play capability. Video clips and play lists can be easily created with the V1-HD.

The V1-HD is available with internal storage or external RAID5 storage. It features HD and SD serial digital video in/out with embedded audio, and is available with up to 8 channels of AES/EBU or 6 channels of analog audio. It can record 720p, 1080i, 1080p (24, 25, 30fps and sf), 525 and 625 video formats. The V1-HD can function as a Sony 9pin device via its RS-422 port, and is also Odetics and VDCP (Louth) compatible.
