New Uncompressed HDTV Video Disk Recorder
The Versatile V1-U.HD From Doremi Labs
Las Vegas, NV - NAB2001 April 23, 2001 - Doremi Labs is proud
to offer the superior resolution of high definition television in a compact
full featured recorder and player. The V1-U.HD is ideal for HDTV broadcast,
post production and digital animation capture and replay.
The V1-U.HD can be used in place of any HDTV video tape recorder. Instant
locate and instant play are time saving features that offer a distinct
advantage over tape based systems. The V1-U.HD is particularly useful
for the emerging 24p production market. Besides the ability to record
and playback flawless uncompressed 24p video, the V1-U.HD features a film
mode that can remove or add a 3:2 sequence and can also transfer 24 frames
per second material to PAL's 25 frame speed.
Additional applications include the use of the V1-U.HD as a broadcast
server for high definition programs and as a video recorder for digital
animations to record, render, and playback video clips in real time. 100BaseT
and TCP/IP over Fibre Channel allow the V1-U.HD to be shared among graphics
workstations on a TCP/IP network to transfer QuickTime, RGB, TGA and other
file formats using the included VConvert software utility.
The V1-U.HD records and plays uncompressed HDTV 720p, 1080i, 1080 24p
and 24sf at 8 or 10 bit resolution. The base version of the V1-U.HD is
available at a low price point and features 11 or 45 minutes of recording
at 10Bit resolution in a compact 3RU chassis. The V1-U.HD is also available
with a front panel that includes a jog/shuttle wheel and an optional video
monitoring LCD in a 6RU split chassis configuration that can record multiple
hours of uncompressed HDTV video.
The V1-U.HD can function as a Sony 9pin device via its RS-422 port and
is capable of extremely accurate independent recording of each video,
audio or time code track. It features high-definition digital video (HD-SDI),
Y Pb Pr, and embedded digital or analog audio inputs and outputs. The
V1-U.HD is also available with up to 8 channels of AES/EBU digital audio.
