Doremi Labs Introduces
the Nugget HD Video Player

Las Vegas, NV - InfoComm2005 - June 8th, 2005 - Doremi Labs introduces the Nugget HD Video Player. The Nugget from Doremi Labs is the affordable solution for high definition video playback.

The Nugget plays standard definition and HD MPEG2 4:2:2 and 4:2:0 files up to 80Mbits/sec. Nugget's superior resolution HD video playback is a perfect match for the new generation of high-res plasma, LCD displays and video projectors. Applications for the Nugget include digital cinema, retail, theme parks, rental & staging, museums and more.

The Nugget plays back video at computer resolutions, HD or SD video. A precise connection is ensured by Nugget's built-in up and down-conversion capability. Output formats include DVI, HD-SDI, composite and SDI video.

Control the Nugget via serial 422 or Ethernet. Doremi's RCV2 desktop hardware controller provides complete control of the Nugget's video playback with its familiar VTR-like controls. Doremi's ListMaker software provides remote control via Ethernet to manage video files and create play lists. For unattended playback, the Nugget can auto-play or loop a selected video play list on power-up.

Transfer MPEG2 video clips to the Nugget's internal IDE drive via Ethernet. The loaded MPEG2 video clips can be played in their native formats or up or down-converted to any supported format. HD MPEG2 files can be sourced from video encoders such as Doremi's ORCA encoder.

The Nugget is housed in a 1RU chassis and is available in a standard and pro version. The standard version features composite and DVI video outputs, 6 channels analog and IEC audio. The Nugget Pro ads HD-SDI and SDI video outputs, LTC in/out, Sync input, ASI input, 6 channels AES/EBU digital audio and more.
