Major Television Network Selects
Doremi Lab’s V1 disk recorders
New York, NY - December 15, 2000 –Doremi Lab’s popular V1
family of Digital Video Disk Recorders (DDR) has been selected by a major
television network as their playback and record machines for video and
audio production and live on-air playback.
A dozen V1 DDRs are in use at the network’s video production and broadcast
facility in New York. The versatility of the V1 disk recorder is apparent
in the variety of functions it helps to fulfill. The V1 is used for audio
post production in conjunction with the popular Pro Tools software for
audio editing. Other V1s are used to play video clips live during
the network’s nightly prime time newscast. Additional V1s are used for
program production to record and playback video and key channels.
The V1 DDR can be used in place of any video tape recorder. With its
VTR-like front panel controls and matching video and audio connectors
the V1 makes it easy to upgrade to the speed and quality of disk recorders.
In addition the V1, unlike many competing disk recorders, allows for the
independent recording of each video, audio or time code track. Doremi
Lab’s V1 family of DDRs are available in JPEG or MPEG2 compression standards
or uncompressed.
