The HD disk recorders keep the same look and feel of the VTR while providing
instant access to video and computer network integration. Designed as
a drop-in replacement for any HDTV video tape recorder they feature HD-SDI
and analog component video and audio interfaces. HD formats supported
include 720p, 1080i, 1080p, and 1080sf. Frame accurate control can be
achieved via their Sony protocol serial ports, 100BaseT Ethernet or front
panel controls.
V1-U.HD HDTV Uncompressed Disk Recorder Applications
V1-UHD applications include HD post production in film to HD mastering
stages and HD editing. Uncompressed recording removes generation loss
from the processing chain. The V1-UHD provides higher resolution than
tape based solutions at a lower cost.
The V1-UHD is also ideal for transfer of graphic images to and from the
V1 and a computer workstation for digital animation, film restoration,
digital effects and more. TCP/IP image transfer and control capability
from any workstation on the network.
V1-MP2.HD HDTV MPEG2 Disk Recorder Applications
The V1-MP2.HD is ideal as a playback device for digital cinema and other
large high-resolution display applications. V1-MP2.HD also excels as a
drop-in replacement for HD tape recorders in HD production and broadcast
applications.
The V1-MP2.HDs MPEG2 compression (at up to 300Mb/s) helps to preserve
the video image quality while significantly reducing storage space requirements.
Storage capacity in the 3RU chassis at 100Mb/s is 192 minutes. Additional
recording time can be achieved with Doremis external drive chassis.
