Nugget HD Video Player Now
With a Removable Hot-Swap Hard Drive
Orlando, FL - Infocomm2006
- June 7th, 2006 - Doremi Labs adds additional value to its popular Nugget
HD Video Player with a removable hot-swap hard drive.
The new model is
called the Nugget2U and is housed in a two rack unit chassis and features
one removable hot-swap hard drive. Otherwise the Nugget2U features and
operation are the same as the standard Nugget model.
The Nugget was recently
updated with several advanced features that include GigaBit Ethernet for
faster file transfers from computers, a logo generator that superimposes
a 20 by 20 pixel image on the video stream, and fixed latency and chase
for multi-unit synchronization.
The Nugget will also
start shipping with the new Doremi Asset Manager software to facilitate
the Ethernet transfer of popular file formats such as MPEG2 video to the
Nugget's internal hard drive.
Nugget's superior
resolution HD video playback is a perfect match for the new generation
of high-resolution video projectors, plasma and LCD displays. Applications
for the Nugget include theme parks, museums, concerts and other stage
events.
The Nugget plays
HD and SD video files up to 80Mbits/sec (4:2:2 and 4:2:0). The 80Mbits/sec
bit rate is over four times the HDTV broadcast standard's bit rate. Output
formats include DVI, HD-SDI, SDI and composite video.
Control the Nugget
via serial 422 or Ethernet. Doremi's RCV2 desktop hardware controller
provides complete control of the Nugget's video playback with its familiar
VTR-like controls. Doremi's VToolsPro software provides remote control
via Ethernet to manage video files. For unattended playback, the Nugget
can auto-play or loop a selected video play list on power-up.
The Nugget and Nugget2U
are available in standard and pro versions. The standard version features
composite and DVI video outputs, 6 channels analog and IEC-958 audio.
The Nugget Pro ads HD-SDI and SDI video outputs, LTC in/out, Sync input,
ASI input, 6 channels AES/EBU digital audio and more.
