Doremi Cinema's DMS-2000 Digital Cinema Mastering
Station Encodes the Latest Hollywood Movie Releases
Las Vegas, NV - ShoWest - March 14th, 2006 - The majority of films
released in the DCI/JPEG2000 digital format are mastered with Doremi Cinema's
DMS-2000 mastering station. The DMS-2000 is currently installed in eight
leading post production facilities in the USA and Europe.
Movies mastered on the DMS-2000 include Chicken Little, The Chronicles of Narnia, Glory Road, Eight Below, Aquamarine, Inside Man, Stay Alive, Ice Age 2 and The Wild.
The DMS-2000 is a complete DCI-JPEG2000 authoring system that supports
bit rates up to 250 Mbits/sec. It provides extensive encoding parameter
controls and live preview of the encoding process. The system features
a hardware accelerated JPEG2000 compressor in a Linux package with internal
storage. The DMS-2000 is the first product to combine all the tools for
2K image compression processing in one package and is competitively priced
to encourage adoption. Doremi Cinema was first on the market with DCI-JPEG2000
mastering and continues to lead in market share and technical enhancements
to the product line.
Doremi Cinema is not only a mastering station manufacturer but also a
leading cinema server manufacturer. Doremi's DCP-2000 cinema server is
the first commercially available server capable of playing DCI-JPEG2000
digital movies. The DCP-2000 now has an installed base of over 300 servers
throughout the country with another 500 scheduled to be installed by the
end of June 2006.
