Position Purpose:

Prepare Test plans for Digital Cinema Products, for both software and hardware, to qualify release

candidates before general release/release for production.


● Interacts with other engineering groups, project and product managers, to define overall test

plans to generate and to document detail of procedure to execute.

● Prepares test plans during the development phase before availability of release candidate to

qualify functional behavior of new features.

● Analyzes test results and provides regular progress reports.

● Identifies functional problems and suggests resolution.

● Estimates readiness of release candidate for general release.

● Provide technical support and directions to test technicians executing the test plans

● Maintain test procedure documentation for regression testing.

● Improve testing procedure efficiency where possible.


● Bachelor in Computer Science or EE.

● Multiple years experience in testing electronic equipment.

● Knowledge of video product for professional and digital cinema in particular. Understanding of

interaction between the different equipment in video systems and digital cinema in particular.

● Experience in making test plans for regression testing is a plus.

Project Manager

Position Purpose:

Project Manager for Digital Cinema server products.


● Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects.

● Oversees all aspect of projects.

● Defines tasks and schedules of overall project in collaboration with product manager and

project engineers. Sets deadlines accordingly.

Quality Control Technician

Type: Full Time
Location: Laval (QC), Canada

Position Purpose:

Will serve as a key member of our Theater Management System (TMS) quality assurance department by performing several quality tests on recently developed software. He/she will work closely with the software developers and other QA team members in other Doremi locations (USA and France).


    The software tester responsibility include performing quality assurance testing on internally developed software applications, systems and websites, as well as compatibility testing with latest Doremi or other digital cinema servers software.

  • Produce test plan and test cases;
  • Work closely with developers to understand the product and track, report, and verify bugs;
  • Test web-based applications in term of features, availability and performance;
  • Create and perform functional, usability, platform compatibility, and stress tests on software applications, systems, and web-sites;
  • Report defects in the bug tracking system;
  • Show creativity and initiative to improve product test coverage and effectiveness;
  • Write automated scripts to perform stress tests, and performance tests;
  • Ensure the high quality of the application releases.


  • College degree in computer science;
  • Previous experience in software quality assurance;
  • Some shell programing/scripting skills (i.e bash, Batch);
  • Some Network understanding (DHCP, FTP, HTTP, SSH, physical setup);
  • User level knowledge of Linux;
  • Full testing life cycle, including stress, functional, performance and integration testing;
  • Motivation to find and identify defects and ensure issues are reproducible – we are not looking for a robot tester but a thinker who can identify himself/herself with real life scenarios and corner cases.

C++ expertise in real-time, multi-threaded environment is desired. Experienced with both driver- and application-level C++ is required. This is a “hands-on” position that requires demonstrable success in the design of complex applications.The candidate should have been a key designer of commercially released products.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years experience in hands-on C++ development
