Veteran Ronald Williams Joins Doremi Labs
April 17, 2009 – Burbank, CA - Doremi Labs is pleased to announce the appointment of Ronald Williams
to the position of Vice President of Sales, Broadcast Products Division. Ronald will work closely with Doremi’s engineering staff in developing
and launching new and innovative products as well as overseeing Doremi’s sales
operations.
“Mr. Williams brings to the position many years of
sales management experience from his employment with Philips, Sony, and
Panasonic comments Emil Rizko, Managing Director of Doremi Labs.” “He has also been a Doremi dealer for the
past 7 years, so he is truly an expert in knowing Doremi’s product lines and
their markets.”
Most recently, Mr. Williams has been an executive
with The LANDMARK Group; a design and consulting company in the Broadcast,
Video, CGI and Film industry. The LANDMARK Group has designed and built
facilities for all major networks, post production houses, government
facilities and performs quality control and proof of performance for CGI and
HDTV facilities.
After earning his BSEE from Michigan, Mr. Williams
served as Engineering and Technical Director for the ABC television network in
New York. As one of the team leaders who designed six Olympic games, eight
political conventions and many Wide World of Sports events, winning nine Emmy
nominations, he went on to organize the special events unit for the network.
Mr. Williams continues his work with SMPTE
standards writing committees. He was co-chair of the committee responsible for
writing standards for High Definition television and other transmission
standards. He served as chair of the SMPTE colorimetry
committee for Digital Cinema, DC28 and continued on with DCI. He has chaired
several SMPTE standards committees, including the Reference Monitor standard
committee.
Ronald’s tenure and contributions to the industry
are welcomed attributes to Doremi’s executive team.
